Umut Sagir, MSc Finance

Umut Sagir has 10+ years professional and entrepreneurial experience in tech and finance. After holding successful positions at institutions such as Garanti Bank, Deutsche Bank and Danske Commodities, Umut is currently managing his growing ventures: Cold Almond (consulting) and Holy Python (computer science).

Finance Career

With an impressive career working for hedge funds, investment banks, and energy brokerage, Umut has co-managed portfolios in cross-boarder electricity markets in 15 countries while generating tens of millions in profits and breaking records. Umut has even managed to coordinate bank-subsidiary relations under Basel III regulations rubbing elbows directly with central bank heads. HIs finance career includes time at Deutsche Bank,Garanti Bank, and Danske Commodities. 

Data Science

After leaving Danske Commodities, Umut went on to found the Holy Python blog which has helps millions of users gain Python proficiency. Umut's trainings have been consumed by CUNY, University of Texas at Austin Neuroscience Dept., NASA Summer schools, British Columbia Institute of Technology, 

rough programming tutorials and interactive exercises. Some of the notable users include CUNY, University of Texas at Austin Neuroscience Dept., NASA Summer Schools, British Columbia Institute of Technology, Technikum Wien Austria and various independent researchers.
